These are the switches that sense the opening or closing of a door or window. The switch is mounted to the surface of a door or window, the switch has a contact, which is closed by magnetic field generated by magnet. When the door or window moves away from the magnet, the switch opens and it is sensed by the alarm control panel.
Connecting Magnetic Sensor To Burglar Alarm Zone.
Here are Few important Steps to be followed.
1.Positioning of the Magnetic Contact, Always keep in mind : The contact should be placed near to the opening edge of the door or window.
2.Run the wire from Burglar Alarm Zones to the Magnetic contact as shown in the diagram.
3.Screw the Switch to the frame and Fix the magnet to the door or window and check (using a continuity tester) that the switch opens/closes in response to the door opening/closing.
4.Make Sure that you run a Single cable(2 Pair Or 4 Pair) from Control panel to the switch.(Using joints are not effective and will cause problems.)
5.Connect the Magnetic Sensor to Burglar alarm Zone Terminals as shown in Diagram.
(Few type of sensors Requires 12v i/p for working, for that purpose 12v (+)(-) Terminals are available as in diagram.)
