The first thing to keep in mind before starting installation of intrusion alarm system is to determine where you are going to place the control panel ,place it in a safe place but it should also be quickly reachable from entrance door. Second thing is what components you are going to use and where you going to put it.

Above is a Design from a home that has been marked up to indicate where intrusion/Burglar alarm components can be installed. Before starting installation determine how many window & door sensors and motion detectors you will need to protect the entire home. Even if you have more than 8 sensors you can still use a 4 zone panel, you will just need to wire multiple sensors to a single zone. It’s always recommended to use two hooter/siren so that one will at least sound if one is at fault.
